afternoon tea

So, whilst we headed back in England for Christmas, I decided to FINALLY go for Afternoon Tea with my mum. I am a BAD BRIT – I made it to the age of 27 without having Afternoon Tea! To make up for it, I decided to try an Alice in Wonderland Afternoon Tea at the St James Court Hotel, London.

Christmas in London is always magical and I would highly recommend an Afternoon Tea, especially during the holidays.

Location, Location, Location

For this experience, we reserved a table directly with Kona Restaurant at St James Court Hotel. The exterior of the hotel was stunning and unusual for the centre of London whilst the inside was quaint and fancy.

To get to this hotel, it is best to get the underground to St James Park; the hotel is literally 2 minutes walk away. We came from London Bridge, taking the Jubilee line to Westminster then changing over to the Circle and District line. You can also catch the Circle and District line from Victoria.

  2. I’m not the biggest tea-drinker, but I actually attended my first High Tea with my grandma in San Francisco at the Saint Francis hotel. It was pretty fun to get all dressed up…until I realized that the Orange Pekoe doesn’t actually taste like orange. Not a fun discovery. The Alice in Wonderland place looks pretty fun and I’d like to check it out!
