One of the most efficient and cost-effective ways to explore the harbour area of Dubai, has to be via boat. We loved our time in Dubai, it really is an incredible place to enjoy and relax.
When we planned a trip to Dubai, we knew we wanted to see the harbour and go Dune Bashing whilst taking some time for ourselves. The Yellow Boat tours were a relaxing but fun way to see the major sights of Dubai and was just perfect!
We opted to take the Yellow Boat morning tour, taking us around all the important sights in the area. We took the first boat out in the morning (9am start) – arrive 30 minutes before your booked time slot. Taxi’s from our hotel in Downtown Dubai to the Marina cost us around 45 dirham – around $12.
The Marina has a handful of stores and shops with beautiful souvenirs – we found the Marina and the malls some of the best places to buy our Dubai Souvenirs.
The boat tour took us through the Marina and out across the waters to see the development that was happening in the area. Our guide explained to us how this area had become so popular, so quickly that pockets of communities were being built all the time. These get built at record speed because there is such a demand but also because the land itself it so expensive.

We were taken to the Atlantis hotel and you have a photo op; followed by another photo op in front of the Burj Al Arab. We were then whizzed through the Palm Islands and saw the incredible villas and homes built around this area.
We took the 90 minute tour but other options are available on the Yellow Boat website. Want to experience the tour? Watch our video below!
