When we planned a visit to see the Terracotta Warriors, we had no idea where to stay in Xian – until we found the Hantang Inn.
Hantang Inn Hostel is a cosy hostel, tucked away in a traditional residence area of Xian’s city centre. Just a short walk from the Bell Tower and a host of restaurants and convenience stores, Hantang Inn is ideal for travellers looking for a cheap place to sleep.
The hostel offers group and private tours to the Terracotta Warriors along with tours to various attractions across the city. The rooms are spacious, with private rooms available that include private bathrooms. Beds are quite hard so our travel pillow came in helpful whilst staying here.
There is a welcoming bar as you enter the hostel, ideal for affordable drinks and tasty dinners after a long day exploring. The menu includes local and international cuisine. There is also a pleasant rooftop terrace, complete with ping pong table, sofas and even a sauna.
The hostel offers free pick up from the main railway station as well as free wifi across the hostel, various themed evenings and a DVD movie lounge for those wanting to relax.
