The High Line

Explore NYC like a local by heading to The High Line-  a 1.45-mile elevated park built on an abandoned railway. It consists of a wide-plan ted walkway with art and murals. There are water features and loads of differing views to enjoy along the way. This is one of the best free things to do in NYC and a must-see, no matter what type of traveler you are.

There are events hosted from time to time throughout the year too. It’s something entirely different for all the family to enjoy.

Brooklyn Bridge

This mile-long iconic bridge provides amazing views of downtown Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, and the Freedom Tower. It’s not to be missed so get the camera ready!

New York Aquarium

Located off Coney Island Boardwalk, in the busy borough of Brooklyn is the New York Aquarium. As well as having the chance to see otters, seals, and penguins, there are some amazing shows held in the aqua theater. The kids are guaranteed to have a ‘whale of a time’.

New York is renowned for its theatre district so there are hundreds of plays and musicals to choose from. Whether it’s the ever-popular Lion King, Wicked or Harry Potter, you will never be short of choices.

A trip to New York with the kids wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Central Park. Expanding over around 840 acres, it makes for a truly beautiful day out. There are loads of things to do once you get there.

It has sports facilities as well as amusement attractions and even has its own zoo! It really does give taking the kids to the park a whole new meaning.

Ripley’s Museum

This exhibition of unusual, interesting and interactive artifacts is a great way to spend an afternoon in NYC; especially when it is too cold/too hot/too wet.

Kids will love this museum and free admission is included with the New York City pass. 

Eating Out

Regardless of how particular your children might be with food, you will always be something they will like. You can make it even more fun visiting the likes of Ellen’s Stardust Diner. It not only provides an array of food choices but also has singing waiters! It’s an interactive and fun way to enjoy a family meal.
