Oh I loved the Shangri-La At the Fort in Manilla. It was love at first site when I walked in. Such a beautiful place to be. So much great food and amazing staff. I’d go back there any day!
I see you guys are fans of the infinity pools! They sure look great when they are over the ocean. Great you got the Bellagio in there too! My favourite had to be the Riad in Marrakech, you can’t beat the architecture.
These hotels all look stunning. The Banyan Tree hotel in particular looks amazing.
It really does!!
Wow, these places look pretty darn amazing. Hopefully, I’ll get to stay in one of these places one day (without somehow destroying my budget T_T). I love ocean resorts though, so I’d probably go for Anastasis Apts, Banyan Tree, Nayara Springs, and the Place Luxury Boutique Villa first. But honestly, I wouldn’t complain if I just got one of those 😀
Agreed!! Some of them are far too pricey but keep an eye out for the Budget version of this post! 😉
We just came back from La Fortuna at Lake Atitlan! We stayed at both the suites and small bungalows and both were impressive. The hotel might be romantic and gorgeous but the best part was actually the 3 dogs that live there 🙂 Would love to stay at Bayan Tree Seychelles if the opportunity arises!
I am visiting Siem Reap in a couple of months and will have to look into stay at the Villa! It looks like a beautiful hotel, although it would be quite a splurge, considering how cheap properties generally are in that part of the world. Great roundup, and I hope to have the opportunity to stay in some of these places in the future!
La Fortuna looks incredible especially with the deck chairs overlooking the waters. I’d be stoked just swimming around in the infinity pools overlooking views like those. I’d love to splurge a night in one of these places but it may be lonely on my own but I suppose I should just #treatmyself 😀
Looking forward to part 2!
definitely treat yourself!! I love a hotel splurge!!
Oh my goodness – with so many gorgeous photos in your post, it’s hard to pick a favorite spot to stay! We do have plans to travel to Dubin in the spring, so we’ll definitely look into the Grand Hotel. I’m also a huge fan of infinity pools, and the one at the Viceroy Bali looks unbelievable. Glad to see that a few of these places are actually within our budget! 🙂
Yeah there are so many beautiful hotels in the world – keep an eye out for our romantic hotels under $100 post coming soon!
Ohhh take me back to Santorini! I loved Santorini Greece and everything about that island is luxury and beautiful. $200 a night in a Thai hotel in Kho Tao sounds steep for there which truly does spell upscale. The Viceroy looks unreal, but at $450 a night, I will need to save my pennies!
Santorini, Bali, Seychelles, Costa Rica and Guatemala hotels are the ones I prefer!! According to me, if I’m splurging at a hotel, it has to be in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature’s lush greenery or breathtaking beach views!!!
