Las Vegas is an incredible place to visit and makes for a great couples vacation; whether it’s a weekend trip or week away. But what are the best things to do in Las Vegas for couples?
We asked these Vegas experts and travel bloggers for their thoughts on the most romantic things to do in Vegas to help you plan your next trip.
A helicopter tour
It doesn’t get much more romantic than taking a helicopter flight then sipping champagne on the floor of the Grand Canyon. There are actually lots of Grand Canyon helicopter tour options from Las Vegas, and most will even pick you up at your hotel.
In route to the Grand Canyon, you get aerial views of the Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. Once you land on the floor of the Grand Canyon, you might even have time to go hiking or rafting depending on your tour. On the return flight, you will go over the famous Las Vegas strip.
Yes, a helicopter tour is a splurge (prices start at $300 per person) but it’s a special experience that lasts a lifetime.

Visit the Eiffel Tower
Las Vegas is full of fun, romantic and value for money attractions.
My tip is to go early, before the sunset begins to happen to enjoy the views and get a good spot before the sky changes. It can get busy up there if you head up right before. The best thing about this attraction is you can stay up there as long as you like, so if you do want to see the strip change from day to night – with a beautiful sunset in between, you can.

Renew your vows
Vegas is famed for its quicky marriages, but sadly many don’t last the distance. We didn’t have a Vegas wedding, but our marriage has certainly lasted and when we found ourselves in Vegas around the time of our 20th wedding anniversary it made perfect sense to renew our vows. Our vow renewal was everything our wedding wasn’t. Easy, fun and just the two of us. We loved every second of it. Vegas Weddings organised everything including my beautiful bouquet of lilies, our transport and our awesome Elvis. We hired an amazing photographer and spent the afternoon hitting all the famous sights and smiling like idiots in front of them. I only wish we had done this the first time around!

The Stratosphere is often overlooked because it is quite far from the centre of the Las Vegas strip. However, offeringwith fantastic views of Vegas and beyond, this popular hotel, restaurant and attraction centre, should be on your Las Vegas itinerary.
If you are unsure about Vegas nightlife for couples, this is a great place to start. The Stratosphere or The STRAT as it is now officially called, offers the SkyPod – a place to enjoy amazing views whilst eating your dinner in a rotating restaurant; giving you 360 degree views of Nevada.
Alternatively, you can opt for a fwe drinks in the 107 SkyLounge or try the creative cocktails at 108 Drinks.
For something very unique for Vegas, why not enjoy a thrill ride together? Atop of this iconic building is The Big Shot, Insanity and X-Scream, three rides that use the towering height to their advantage.
Watch the Fountains of Bellagio
A perfect free thing to do in Las Vegas as a couple is to go watch the Fountains of Bellagio. With romance in mind, the creators installed over 1,000 fountains in front of the hotel which sends water soring as high as 460 feet in the air enhanced with music and light. With a wide range of music, it is unlikely you will see the same show twice during your trip. The performances range from delicate to grand each with uniquely choreographed water and lights.
The show currently happens every 30 minutes from 3 pm to 8 pm Monday – Friday and ever 15 minutes until midnight. On Saturdays and holidays, the show starts at 12 and on Sundays at 11. You may want to arrive early to get a good spot upfront to enjoy the show.

Watch a Cirque du Soleil show
One of the most entertaining things a couple can do is attend a Cirque du Soleil show. Cirque du Soleil stands for Sun Circus and was started by a Canadian entertainment company. The proof of its entertainment value is that since its start in 1984 it has branched out to 400 cities across the world.
Las Vegas is the perfect place to watch a Cirque du Soleil performance because there are so many to choose from. Currently, there are 7 different shows in the Las Vegas area. Be prepared to gasp and awe at the amazing acrobatics, aerialists, and stunts you will see as well as the amazing music that it is all set to.
If you are a Beatles fan, head to LOVE at the Mirage. Like villains and fight scenes? Go to Ka at the MGM Grand. Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay will impress you with dance moves. Whatever show you decide to go to with your loved one, it will be an evening you will talk about for a long, long time.

Top Golf Las Vegas
On our most recent couples trip to Las Vegas, we had the best time at Top Golf!
Top Golf Las Vegas is the ultimate golf experience – for all levels of golfers! It’s basically a driving range where you get your own bay – complete with table and food/drink waiter service. Your golf balls are chipped so the machine knows who is hitting, allowing you to create competitions. When you hit the ball, it lands out on the target nets and records your score on the computer screens you see in your bay.
It’s super fun and anyone can do it!
Plus yummy food and amazing drinks.
Top Golf has outlets across the United States, but the Las Vegas location is behind the MGM Casino. You can take a free shuttle from MGM Grand or an Uber/Lyft from other hotels.
The bays hold up to six people and are priced per hour, starting at $33 and going up $93 depending on the day and time of your visit, and location of your bay. Food and drinks can be purchased at an additional cost.

Enjoy a buffet together
Las Vegas is known for its amazing buffets so why not enjoy one with your other half. We loved trying the best buffets in Las Vegas but make sure you take advantage of the deals on the hotel websites, Groupon or Vegas.com
Wicked Spoon in The Cosmopolitan is a great option for couples, with a wide variety of high-quality food but also a calm, sopshisticated ambience. Some buffets can have a sense of urgency, with people rushing between the offerings. However, perhaps because of how this buffet is spaced out and the vast selection on offer, this feels like a much more romantic place to eat at and enjoy. Expect to pay $29 on weekdays and $36 on the weekends.
The Buffet at Wynn is a beautiful restaurant, very light and bright, perfect for romantic brunches. The Mirage’s Craving buffet is a great option for those looking to try a selection of cusines fro around the world. Bacchanal Buffet at Ceasar’s Palace is also a wonderful restaurant, although more expensive than others, there are lots of cook-to-order stands and delicious tasting meats.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden
This sky-lit atrium in the Bellagio hotel is a free attraction in Las Vegas, offering a selection of vibrant colourful flowers and plants. The displays change seasonally and are particuarly magical at Christmas and New Years.
120 horticulture staff maintain these gardens and they are definitly a romantic way to spend a morning during your trip – perhaps pair up a visit with watching the fountains and trying out a restaurant in the hotel.
Enjoy a Gondola Ride
For those looking to experience a bit of Venice during their Vegas trip, book yourself a ride on the Gondolas in The Venetian.
The ride lasts around 15 minutes and the gondolier often belts out a song or two during your journey. This experience doesn’t come cheap though; expect to pay $29 per person in a shared gondola (4 riders per boat) or $116 for two in a private boat.
Spring Mountain Ranch State Park
This romantic thing to do in Las Vegas isn’t tecnically in Vegas at all (but 40 minutes away), however it makes for a wonderful day together and should be included on your next romantic trip to Las Vegas.
The Ranch is a small oasis dating back to the 1860s. With grassy meadows, historic buidlings, hiking trails, picnic spots and outdoor evening plays during the summer, this is the perfect place to visit when you are looking to escape the crowds and bright lights of Las Vegas. This is a pictersque park, with the Wilson Cliffs offering breathtaking backdrops yo your ranch photos.
This Ranch is within the Red Rock Canyon area so why not rent a car, spend the morning exploring the Canyons then head to the Ranch for a relaxing afternoon and picnic lunch.
Vegas balloon rides
Vegas Balloon rides are a must if you are looking for a specifc romantic adventure with your loved one. You can get incredible views of the strip and Red Rock Canyon whilst you drift above the desert and wildlife.
Flights last around an hour but plan three to four hours for the whole experience. You can opt fot a champagne toast on landing too, perfect for those looking to propose or celebrating special occasions.
Remember to dress in layers, as you will be outside for several hours and wear appropriate footwear; no sandals or high heels.
Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas offers cheaper restaurants and hotels but also lots of fun interactive restaurant experiences, a light show and a down-to-earth vibe. Head here with your partner to enjoy the historic casinos such as The Golden Nugget, try the Shrimp at Du-Par’s or enjoy a zipline ride over the Fremont Street.
Vegas Nightlife for couples
There are lots of things to see and do for couples during the evenings at Las Vegas, so here are just a few:
- Nightclubs on the strip; Hakkasan in MGM has fantastic DJ’s, XS Las Vegas in Wynn is an elegant nightclub with many different glitz and glam areas to choose from whilst Omnia in Ceasars Palace is a luxerious clubbing option.
- Limo ride: Ride along the strip in a limo! These come with a full bar and televisions as you whizz around Vegas in style.
- The Chandlier Bar – Located inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel, this bar spans 3 levels within the casino area and is drapped in a gorgeous chandlier. This isn’t a place to party but a wonderful spot to enjoy a few drinks.
- The Skybar inside the Waldorf Astoria – This cocktail bar overlooks the strip and offers amazing views with floor to ceiling windows. Pretty much every seat has great views but pre-book a table, it can get busy.
- Comedy shows – There are lots of comedy clubs in Vegas and they are great fun for couples to relax and have a laugh together.
