The Sky Terrace 428 and The Peak are some of the best things to do in Hong Kong; we share how to plan a visit for the best views of Hong Kong.
For that magic, iconic view of Hong Kong’s skyline, most people head to The Peak. Found up in the mountains, it has almost become a rite of passage for travelers and tourists to take the historical tram up to the top and see Hong Kong from a different perspective. It is one of my favorite things to do in Hong Kong but bring your camera because these views are stunning and make for that perfect selfie.
The view isn’t the only thing to do whilst you’re up there! Here is a list of other things to do whilst you are up at the Peak.

Getting to The Peak
There are different ways to get to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong. Most choose to take the Peak Tram; a tram ride that takes you up to the top, climbing 396 meters above sea level. This was first built for daily commuters in 1888 but is now used by tourists.
Tickets for the Peak tram and Sky Terrace 428 costs HK$83 for a return ride.
You can also choose to take bus 15, mini-bus 1 or a taxi to Victoria Peak.
Some people choose to hike from the MTR Central Station to The Peak Tower; with this route takes you around an hour and a half.
Directions to The Peak, Hong Kong
If you are starting from Central, the most straightforward route is to head to the Peak Tram Lower Terminus on Garden Road. From Central MTR Station or Hong Kong Station, it is about a ten to fifteen-minute walk. Signs in the area clearly point the way, and you can also take a short taxi ride if needed.
From other districts, taking the MTR to Central and then walking or transferring to a bus is usually the easiest option. Once at the Lower Terminus, you can board the Peak Tram, which climbs directly to the Peak Tower. If you choose the bus, Route 15 departs from Exchange Square Bus Terminus near Hong Kong Station. Both options bring you directly to the attractions at the summit.

The Peak Tower
The Peak Tower is a modern architecture that sits atop of Victoria Peak. Inside the Peak Tower, you will find plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from, as well as the Sky Terrace.
There are restaurants that offer amazing views whilst you eat:
